Hair Care with Apple Cider Vinegar

Hair has been considered the crowning glory of women. Even the great Martin Luther observed this wonderful fact, and quoted: “The hair is the richest ornament of women.”

No wonder, then, that the female species, even if beset with today’s downward spiralling economy, still spends an exorbitant amount on expensive hair care treatments and products just to attain the ultimate in beautiful and healthy hair.

But do you know that you most probably already have a super cheap and super effective hair care product at home? No, it’s not one of those old hair care products that you’ve bought a long time ago and just stowed away in your bathroom somewhere. This product is fresh, healthy, and is just as good in your salad as it is on your hair! Yes, ladies, say hello to no other than the Apple Cider Vinegar in your kitchen cupboard.

Hair experts agree that the Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) has the properties of a great hair cleanser that can effectively eliminate the build-up of dirt, dust, shampoo, oil and sweat, giving your hair a clean, smooth, silky, shiny, tangle-free feel down from the roots to the tips.

So just like your skin, treat your hair with care. The next time you wash, try using ACV on your mane with some of these simple tips and tricks.

For a shiny, tangle-free, clean hair rinse – Experts know that hair that is not rinsed off properly will lead to limp and lacklustre locks. So, in order to avoid this, just before your last rinse, wash your hair with a mixture of 1 cup of ACV to 2 cups of cold water. This will help remove excess shampoo and conditioner from your hair and pilot your locks to that shiny, soft, smooth, untangled, clean hair that you’ve always wanted. You can use this procedure once a week or more, depending on your hair type.

Dandruff control – ACV is known for its antifungal properties which can help fend off dandruff. Simply massage full strength the AVC on your scalp for about a minute; let it sit for another minute, and then rinse off with warm water.

Scalp Rinse – It is a fact that ACV can help balance out the pH levels on your skin. Your scalp is skin, too, so you can use this procedure on your scalp as effectively as you do on your body. To help your scalp stay healthy and clean, mix equal amounts of warm water and ACV and massage your scalp to promote circulation in the scalp. Leave for a minute then rinse.

Cleansing Shampoo – To create an effective cleansing shampoo, add to your favourite shampoo one-half cup of ACV and put it on your locks. Condition as usual.

These are just some tips and tricks that we’ve tried and tested and have proven to work. So the next time you need to beautify and nourish your hair – cheap, easy, and fast – you now have the option to skip the long lines that lead to costly hair care treatments and products, and jump over to an experience that can make your hair smooth, clean and full of life. Apple Cider Vinegar can do that and more. So give your hair some ACV TLC. Now you know that all the love and attention your hair needs is right under your nose.
